It comes in two nesting halves for easy storage, or to carry in the boot.
The basket is large128 x 70 x15 cm [4ft 2in x 2ft 3in x 6in] and weighs 7Kg [Total 15Kg with base-rak].
It will carry the full rated bak-rak load of 100Kg if the load is fully tied down to the base-rak.

Xtender bars allow longer items [or more bike racks] to be mounted on the frame. The Xtender gives over 1000mm of usable length. They telescope out to the required length then lock in position with a self-drill bolt.
Permits the carrying of bikes when vehicle has a rear mounted spare wheel.
Other uses include using with the plastic box or aluminium crate for easy removal.

A new high performance tow-ball mounted carrier designed for compact cars. Anything from a C2 to a Focus to a 2CV to a mini. Great on bigger cars too.

Small cars are bad news when it comes to carrying luggage and people at the same time. That is where the basket-rak comes in. Light & strong, folds small to store in the boot and big enough to carry all your luggage. Even with a small car tow bracket you can still carry lots because this tow-ball carrier rak only weighs 8Kg.

To carry any loads conveniently. Anything from your supermarket shopping to luggage can easily be placed into the basket.

It is built with two nesting halves with a rigid spine that stores inside. All ready to sit tidily in the boot.

Our optional £8 load strap to triangulate the load to the top of a back door will allow you to load the basket right up to the maximum limit of your tow-bar.

The Uni-rak uses Bak-rak's patented mounting system and gives lots of flexibility to mount things apart from luggage. The Uni-rak is multi-function fitting with a plate on top of the normal bak-rak mount. It is a heavy-duty engineering fitting made of 5 mm laser-cut plate - so it will stand up to a life-time of hard work.

The plate has a range of slots and holes to allow the fitting of many different items. Among the most useful is a vice. The mount places the vice neatly just above floor level of most vans giving an incredibly useful strong-point to cut or hammer articles.


The mount can also be used with a footplate on top as a removable step for vehicle access.


The Uni-rak can also be used to neatly fit a lightweight winch - though beware of the loading - tow-bracket manufacturers warranty will not cover using a winch - for good reason as it is possible to produce forces high enough to decapitate the tow-ball - heaven knows what that does to a tow-bracket! But like most things - used sensibly it will be no problem!

A simple tough plastic box firmly mounted onto your tow-ball. The mounting position can be varied to suit a vehicle with a boot mounted spare wheel. The box can be tilted away from the back of the car to allow access to the boot or back door.

We recommend a maximum weight of 60kg - but heavy items should be in the form of cases or bags that will not move around in the box.

The box is available with castors that allow it to be moved easily - use in the garden for collecting rubbish - then straight onto the tow-ball and down the dump. Or use to easily move your luggage.

The Clam Shell Adaptor allows you to use your existing Witter, Pendle or any other flange ball type cycle carrier with a swan neck or detachable ball towbar. Very quick and easy to use. It takes less than a minute to attach with a 19mm spanner. Very secure once tightened. Please note: it can't be used whilst towing.

Requires two M16 x 50 bolts to fix a cycle carrier plate. Can be ordered as an optional extra @ £2.50 per pair. Please check the box above if you do require them.

A pair of brackets to allow the easy mounting of a lightboard to the G3 Base-Rak. Come with one locking hand wheel to prevent theft, one plain handwheel, and coach bolts to attach the light board.

Flat stainless steel bracket to allow flat items to be fitted and locked onto the rack. We use this bracket to mount a light-bar - but it can just as easily be used to mount a flat sheet onto a rack, vertically or horizontally. Made of 2mm Stainless Steel fitted with a M8 captive nut and an M8 bolt. Can be operated with our locking handwheel to prevent removal (at extra cost).

Cross stainless steel bracket to allow two 25mm square tubes to be locked together at right-angles. One of the tubes has to be able to slide the end through, the bracket sliding round the other tube. The photograph makes clear how it works. These are made of 3mm stainless steel and fitted with an 8mm captive nut and bolt. They can be used with the locking hand-wheel (at extra cost) to prevent removal.

With 'normal' cheap winches if you flick the ratchet at the wrong point the winch can run-away with dire consequences for your precious boat or caravan.

These winches also boast a first (to our knowledge) - they can be powered by a rechargeable electric drill through the supplied adapter. This takes most of the work out of winding in or out and most of the pulling - though you will still need to revert to the handle for any full load pulling.
